In this week's video, we explore a task list from the world's worst micromanager.
I have a manager who is very micromanaging. I am not sure how to handle her. She thinks I am not technically qualified for the position when she knows that I am over qualified for the job. She is intimidated when I go tell her something that is not done right. Infact, I was asked a question in the interview by another VP who said "What if your boss is wrong? What will you do?" So, I told him that "I can be honest about it, but if my boss does not listen, then I will have to let it go, since it is ultimately the bosse's decision". This manager is really not understanding what a Systems Administrators role is and gives me a hard time.
Hi Toni, Just wanted to leave a short note here to say "good job" on the videos ... all informative, sane, reasonable and pragmatic ... nice to hear .. Keep up the good work! Liz
I'm glad you're finding the videos informative. And you're right--there are a lot of different looks! I didn't think about it until I looked back. I think I'm trying to find a hair style that "works."
The "looks" and the videos. Ya know, Toni. I wanna take videos like these to my boss (although he's not *that* bad of a micromanager), and say "WATCH THEM NOW!" lol I really like the series. It puts common sense out there for managers to grasp that some of them have no concept of using. Big thumbs up from me :)
