250,000 Customers + 4,000 Users at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council in the west Midlands cares for a population of over a quarter of a million, and not surprisingly, has extensive IT capabilities to handle the volume of everyday data, transactions and reporting needs. Traditionally working with ICL mainframes, the Council has now implemented UNIX-based ICL DRS6000 systems and Teamservers. These run a variety of "Officepower" applications, which as well as the standard office packages also include time management software and systems for incident management.
