Although the green issue isn't a top priority for many organisations at the moment, it's likely to return to prominence as governments attempt to meet self-imposed carbon reduction targets. With data centres in the UK accounting for between 2% and 4% of all power usage (Depending on whose figures one believes), they will soon become a major focus. Data centre managers, therefore, should be prepared for a new drive from the business to reduce carbon emissions.
