The company's management proposed making better use of UPS Freight vehicles that, after delivering their loads, returned to base empty. UPS and Wolseley now partner in the "Backhaul" program, where Wolseley sources loads from its vendors for UPS to haul on the return leg of delivery runs, benefiting all three companies - and the environment.
