A Cyber University Framework for Web-Based Teaching
Source: Hong Kong Polytechnic University
In this paper, the authors present a cyber university framework for Web-based teaching for the Hong Kong CyberU. Flexibility and mobility are the key features of the courses offered by the Hong Kong CyberU. The programs of the Hong Kong CyberU are designed to provide students with an on-line interactive learning courseware delivered through the Web. After the courses have been delivered, students are evaluated for the performance through written examinations. They also evaluated the examination results of one of the Hong Kong CyberU courses and concluded that the learning effectiveness of the students does not exhibit any noticeable difference from those courses offered in conventional mode.
