A Distributed Dynamic Pairwise Key Establishment Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks
Considering the existing defects in traditional key predistribution algorithms such as heavy storage load and bad extendibility, etc. A new Distributed Dynamic Pairwise Key Establishment Scheme (DDPKES) is proposed in this paper. In which, a kind of cluster based scheme is adopted to establish pairwise keys between neighboring nodes dynamically, and the energy of each node is utilized in equilibrium to prolong the lifecycle of the wireless sensor networks. Simulation results show that DDPKES has better performances than those traditional key predistribution algorithms in many aspects such as network security, storage load, communication overhead, key connectivity and energy load balancing, etc.
