A Novel Block Turbo Code for High-Speed Long-Haul DWDM Optical Communication Systems

The Forward Error Correction (FEC) code can effectively correct the error information that has arisen in the optical communication channel, so modern Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical communication systems commonly use the FEC technology to ensure maximum accuracy of data transmission with the minimum of optical power to keep to a minimum number of repeaters required for a given optical fiber span and to minimize the effects of fiber nonlinearity.
