A Novel Cognitive Wireless Network Architecture and Agile Robust Spectrum Sensing

Cognitive Wireless Mesh network is the mesh network with the ability of sensing spectrum, detecting the available spectrum holes in primary system, and cooperative communicate in the detected spectrum holes. For the condition of spectrum occupation is varied from time to time, the performance of cognitive wireless mesh network is related with the performance of spectrum sensing closely. Based on the coarse spectrum sensing information and cluster formation procedure, local clusters are constructed by neighbor nodes which operated in the same spectrum channel, and the entire network is interconnected by the clusters through bridge gateway nodes. Based on the clustered mesh architecture, cooperative partial spectrum sensing with low overhead is proposed with sub-optimal detection performance and low energy consumption.
