A Review on Languages Used for Mobile Agents

In this paper the authors describe the term mobile agent. What are the different types of mobile agents? There are many different languages which have been used to implement mobile agents. The characteristics that make a language useful for writing mobile agents are: their support of agent migration, their support for agent-to-agent communication, how they allow agents to interact with local resources, security mechanisms, execution efficiency, language implementation across multiple platforms, and the language's ease of programming of the tasks mobile agents perform.
