A Service Matchmaking Approach for Service-Oriented Architecture Based on Service Functionalities

Service matchmaking is a basic component of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). In this paper, a service matchmaking approach is presented to provide a semantic based flexible matchmaking while guarantees the functional compatibility of discovered services and efficiency of the matchmaking process. This approach utilizes SAW-OWL-S to specify the service advertisements and service discovery requests. The functional compatibility of a service regarding a service discovery request based on the parameters and conditions is defined in this paper.
