A Study on the Duplex Defensive Approach in Network Infrastructure

Enterprises are always looking for better ways to manage their growing security infrastructure. The continual increase in daily network threats and attacks makes it challenging for network and security operators to maintain not only a complex heterogeneous environment but to also ensure compliancy by deploying network-wide security policies. The disjointed and uncoordinated approach of most current security management solutions are not meeting business needs, and this is exacerbating rather than alleviating network operator concerns. Administrators need a solution that has a single interface to manage all aspects of a security policy lifecycle. This paper describes Defense in Depth, a strategy to protect network infrastructures.
