A Test Process for All Lifecycles

This paper demonstrates that having a clearly defined testing process, which is engaged early in the project lifecycle, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, is essential to the successful delivery of any project using any lifecycle. It explains how the process should flow, what is required at each stage of the lifecycle and how the defined roles must operate throughout the process. The paper demonstrates how techniques such as exploratory, unscripted testing have their place alongside other techniques such as Manual Scripted Testing, White Box Testing, Automated Testing and Risk Based Testing and how they can all be utilized to great effect within a clearly defined testing process.
