Albanian Ministry of Defense Safeguards Classified Data in Preparation for Accession to NATO

The Albanian Ministry of Defense (MoD) wanted to consolidate all structured and unstructured classified data on a secure, scalable, electronic platform prior to the April 2009 accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and enforce the highest internationally recognized standards for providing and auditing authorized access to classified MoD information. The challenge was to protect the integrity of sensitive military documents relating to Albania's role in NATO operations. MoD implemented Oracle Universal Content Management to provide a secure, scalable, Web-based data storage platform with the tools to create classified content and publish it to MoD intranet.
