An Algorithm for Computing the Best Performing Path and Path Recovery Procedure for Multimedia Applications, Over Computer Networks
Multimedia applications have evolved of-lately in variety of applications such as telesuregery, videoconferencing etc. An algorithm is proposed which computes best-performing path considering QoS parameters and also discusses services required by the multimedia applications. Further, to check the feasibility of the path, the parameter path reliability, performance reliability and reliability ratio is used. In case of a link failure, a procedure to find a recovery path is proposed to make the path selection algorithm more efficient.
