An Efficient Ring Based Strategy for Route Discovery in MANETs

Modern wireless networks are infrastructure oriented such as a communication satellites network or infrastructure-less such as Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET).A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) comprised of a wireless mobile nodes or Mobile ad hoc networks that communicate between themselves by wireless communication in a peer-to-peer basis. Nodes can communicate with each other without any pre-planned or a base station. Due to the lack of an infrastructure and their dynamic nature, MANETs demand a new set of networking protocols to connect the full benefits of these multipurpose communication systems. In this paper, a new locality-oriented route discovery approach is proposed to improve the route discovery process in on-demand routing protocols.
