Keystroke dynamics is a behavioral measurement and it aims to identify users based on the typing characteristics of the individuals such as duration of a keystroke or key hold time, latency of keystrokes or inter-keystroke times, digraph or length of time between consecutive keystrokes, typing error and keystroke pressure. In this paper, the authors present a novel dynamic candidate keypad with use of unidirectional finger gesture on the stroke key for character selection is proposed for enhancing stroke-based English input method. The new design can enhance frequently used English characters searching and input using stroke-based input. The paper presents a boarding on biometric authentication through the Keystrokes Dynamics that it intends to identify a person from its habitual rhythm to type in conventional keyboard.
