An Optical/Wireless Integrated Approach to Provide Multiple Gateways in Wireless Mesh Networks
Source: International Journal of Computer Science Issues
Wireless Mesh Network is an application technology different from the traditional peer-to-peer wireless bridge; it provides the multi-hop and multi-path connection to form a wireless environment of MESH framework so that the occurrence of single point failure can be prevented. WMNs are to provide high bandwidth broadband service to a large community of users through the use Internet Gateways which acts as a central point of internet attachment for the mesh routers, it is likely to be a potential bottleneck because of its limited wireless link capacity and security considerations of the Internet Gateways.
