A Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET) is a collection of mobile nodes that can communicate with each other in absence of any fixed based-station infrastructure and centralized management over multi hop links. MANET has no fixed topology as the nodes are moving constantly form one place to another place. Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET), are characterized by wireless nodes, which are free to join and leave network at any time, but cooperate to forward packets for each other based on mutual trust. In absence of any centralized authority, security has become a major issue in order to provide secure communication between nodes in highly antagonistic surroundings.
