Analysis of Hybrid Routing Protocol with Table Driven and On Demand Routing Protocol
Mobile Ad hoc networks are characterized by dynamic topology caused by random node mobility Routing is a key issue in MANET, as there is no central administrator and also there is no dedicated routers to find the next hop, all these tasks are performed by the mobile nodes itself. To achieve routing there are various methodologies depending upon the need and the available resources. There are three major categories of routing such as Table Driven, On Demand and Hybrid. In this paper, the authors present and analyze simulation results for the different routing methodologies on which AODV, STAR and ZRP are based and try to establish that Hybrid protocols e.g. ZRP performs better as compared to the other table driven and On Demand routing protocols.
