Applications and Issues of the HyFlex e-Learning Model

The HyFlex e-learning course model has been pioneered by Dr Brian Beatty at San Francisco State University to meet the needs of Masters students in Instructional Technologies. The basis of the HyFlex model, traditional face-to-face instruction, is supplemented by online activities that duplicate, enhance or replace the face-to-face portion of instruction. The Hyflex model, successfully applied, results in a course that develops online learning resources for current and future courses mainly from students rich reflection of the material, activities and each others work.
