Astrium Uses the Full Digital Simulation Capabilities of Femap to Achieve Concurrent Engineering, Increase Knowledge Capture for Optimal Part and Subsystem Re-Use, and Reduce Development Time

Astrium is a leader in space transportation, satellite systems and services and is associated with many of the most prestigious names in space, including the Arianespace rocket, the International Space Station, Envisat, Mars Express and the Skynet 5 satellite. Astrium wanted to increase understanding of complex designs using layers also wanted to handle multiple modeling scenarios. To master these challenges Astrium chose Siemens PLM Software. Astrium deployed Teamcenter visualization software and Femap software finite element pre- and post-processor to optimize the simulation process within a concurrent engineering environment.
