Asymptotic Analysis for Nakagami-m Fading Channels With Relay Selection
Source: Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers
In this paper, the authors analyze the asymptotic outage probability performance of both Decode-and-Forward (DF) and Amplify-and-Forward (AF) relaying systems using partial relay selection and the "Best" relay selection schemes for Nakagami-m fading channels. They derive their respective outage probability expressions in the asymptotic high Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) regime, from which the diversity order and coding gain are analyzed. In addition, they investigate the impact of power allocation between the source and relay terminals and derive the Diversity Multiplexing Tradeoff (DMT) for these relay selection systems.
