Award-Winning Case On Fiat's Alliance With Tata

IESE professors África Ariño and Pinar Ozcan won the EFMD Case Competition, in the category of Indian Management Issues and Opportunities, for their case, "Fiat´s Strategic Alliance with Tata." The IESE professors were presented the award at the 2010 EFMD Annual Conference, held June 6-8 in Oestrich-Winkel (Wiesbaden), Germany. The case highlights what to consider at the preoperational phase of an alliance and serves as a good example of cross-border negotiation. Recently the professors updated their case, providing further analysis of what has transpired since the alliance took place, and examining the issues from each party's point of view.
