BEA Systems Case Study: The First American Corporation
Source: BEA Systems
The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF) is a Fortune 500 company and is America's largest provider of business information. The company wanted to reign in server sprawl and develop a unified infrastructure for the entire company that enables First American to improve service levels. The challenge was to simplify application and system manageability, and also to keep operating costs in check. First American deployed BEA WebLogic Server Virtual Edition. A virtualized server environment that allows consolidation of multiple applications onto fewer physical servers and eliminates the operating system as a deployment hurdle, giving data centers unprecedented flexibility to meet evolving business demands.
