The snow earlier this year - believed to have cost UK businesses over £1bn - has been a timely reminder for companies to look at their business continuity plans and ensure they are prepared for the unexpected. In fact, extreme weather has now overtaken disruption to IT as the most persistent threat to normal operation that organisations face; so much so that weather will be a key addition to the next National Risk Register.
