Bluetooth: Low-Cost, Short-Range Wireless Communication

Wireless Communication has a wide range of applications such as telecommunications, networking, and device management as well as PC applications. In particular, Bluetooth allows users to simply and easily connect a variety of computing and telecom devices. It is an ideal choice for short range communication between devices due to its ability to run in a noisy environment, automatically find and connect to other Bluetooth devices, low power requirements, and low cost. This paper explores the underlying technology, provides a brief overview of modern implementation, and investigates commercial applications of Bluetooth technology.
