Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE) is a set of qualified plug-ins that are designed for simple integration with the core Eclipse IDE to offer support for developing and installing enterprise Java applications with the Spring Framework and Oracle WebLogic Server. The applications can be developed and installed easily with the help of OEPE. OEPE and Spring IDE allow the developers to spend less time in remembering the configuration details of Spring-specific and Oracle WebLogic Server-specific applications. It also improves the accuracy of configurations at compile time that notices the errors at runtime. OEPE can be downloaded independently and added to an existing Eclipse installation with the help of normal plug-in methods. With the help of Spring IDE plug-in offered with OEPE, it is easy to generate Java applications. This paper talks about various features of Spring IDE functionality with OEPE that makes working with Spring XML more instinctive including design view of Spring XML configuration files, Spring element and attribute completion, and detection and notification of non-compliant entries in the Spring context files. OEPE can easily deploy and use Oracle WebLogic Server with features including design support for WebLogic-specific descriptor files, support for Oracle WebLogic Server's FastSwap, support for WebLogic Server's shared libraries, and support for multiple versions of Oracle WebLogic Server. This paper also provides details about editing the Java EE descriptor files and Oracle WebLogic Server extensions descriptor files.
