Building a Real Time Big Data Analytics Application

Social communications the people update their friends online via social networks and micro-blogging, they text from their Cell-phones, or message from their laptops. Twitter users aren't just interested in reading tweets of the people they follow; they are also interested in finding new people and topics to follow based on popularity. This poses several challenges to the Twitter architecture due to the vast volume of tweets: providing unlimited scalability, providing low latency and efficient processing of the data in a distributed system. To overcome these challenges GigaSpaces XAP has been built in. The results of building GigaSpaces were integration with batch oriented big data back-ends and manageability and cloud readiness.
