Building a Scalable Data Warehouse Solution

This paper presents storage architecture for an Oracle data warehouse solution. Key architectural features include scalable capacity from 30TB to over 2PB and performance up to 32GB/sec. In addition it presents performance results demonstrating an 8GB/sec implementation with near-linear scaling. This paper presents an overview of a modular, scalable architecture for solving a range of data warehouse and decision support problems. A proof-of-concept implementation showed outstanding performance results for this architecture, both on synthetic and customer queries.
