Bulgarian Telco Pioneers Mobile Triple-Play Services Over WiMAX

Max Telecom entered the telecommunications their business challenge is that rapidly and cost-effectively expand service coverage to all of Bulgaria with enable capacity for "Triple-Play" services (data, voice, and video) and stand out from the competition with WiMAX innovations for any-time, any-where services. They got network solutions of Cisco Broadband Wireless Access (BWX) base stations and antennas, Cisco Carrier Ethernet for aggregation (Cisco Catalyst 3750 Metro Ethernet switches at base stations; Cisco 7600 Series at headquarters), Cisco Broadband Wireless end-to-end architecture integrating 802.16e solutions for maximum mobility indoors and outside. They increased capacity to 2 Mbps, added new revenue streams from enabled wholesale services and expanded "Triple-Play" services portfolio, including IPTV over WiMAX, to sustain subscriber growth and reduce churn.
