Cannizzaro Hospital Improves Service With Filmless Radiology System Built on Reliable Data Infrastructure

Cannizzaro Hospital is a level-three regional emergency hospital in Italy that offers citizens a wide range of diagnostic services and treatments. In addition, the hospital features three rooms for various radiological diagnostics tests. It needed to Rationalize and optimize filing and transfer of diagnostic images from digital radiographic equipment including Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT) scans, Magnetic Nuclear Resonance scans (MNRs), angiographies, etc. Cannizzaro Hospital Worked with Sicilia Sistemi, an Oracle Partner, to implement a filmless system based on Oracle Database, Oracle Real Application Clusters, and Oracle Application Server, as well as Exprivia software, to make results and radiological images available to healthcare personnel in real-time and in digital form in all operating units.
