Capacity Gain Analysis With Antenna Selection for a Frequency Selective MIMO Measured Channel
Source: Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers
In this paper, the authors addressed the capacity gains achieved when the antenna selection is carried out in a frequency selectivity MIMO measured channel. The best antenna subsets were selected and analyzed for different environments and for the bandwidth of 20MHz. The gains with frequency selection, after the antenna selection, were also evaluated. Finally, the effects of spatial and frequency selectivity on antenna selection were studied. Multiple antenna systems known as MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) systems have been proposed as an effective way to satisfy the user demand for high data rate applications in wireless systems.
