Cisco Network Admission Control: Keeping the Unified Communications Environment Secure
Source: Cisco Systems
The Cisco NAC is an easily deployed Network Admission Control solution that uses the network infrastructure to enforce security policy compliance on all devices seeking to access network computing resources. With Cisco NAC, network administrators can authenticate, authorize, evaluate, and remediate wired, wireless, and remote users (either managed, such as an employee, or unmanaged, such as a guest) and their machines prior to network access. NAC identifies whether networked headless devices such as access points or IP phones are compliant with network's security policies before permitting access to the network.
