City of Dortmund: Process Management Puts City Administrators in Closer Contact to Its Citizens

Dortmund wanted to optimize administrative processes and link with specialized procedures in order to encourage citizen proximity in the form of improved services and, at the same time, make workflows more efficient. As a solution they reorganize city administration processes and implement them based on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) with IBM WebSphere Business Modeler, IBM WebSphere Integration Developer and IBM WebSphere Process Server.
