Classification of Weblogs for Collaborative E-Learning
Source: University of Göttingen
The potential and significance of weblogs as a tool in e-learning is intensively discussed at the moment. Possible implementations of weblogs can be identified in various fields. So far, the classification of weblogs in the context of collaborative e-learning is mostly incomplete and unsystematic. To get a structured view, the authors' ambition is in the first step to derive a systematisation schema for learning, which is adequate for weblogs. This enables a scientific discussion and allows in the second step to analyse potentials as well as limits of weblogs as an environment for collaborative e-learning. It can be shown that for the different types of learning, discrete implementations of weblogs contain distinct capabilities.
