Cloud Computing With Amazon Web Services, Part
Source: IBM
Cloud computing derives from the common depiction in technology architecture diagrams of the Internet, or IP availability, illustrated as a cloud. Cloud computing gained attention in 2007 as it became a popular solution to the problem of horizontal scalability. Cloud computing can be loosely defined as using scalable computing resources provided as a service from outside the environment on a pay-per-use basis. One can use only what they need, and pay for only what they use. One can access any of the resources that live in the "Cloud" at any time, and from anywhere across the Internet. One doesn't have to care about how things are being maintained behind the scenes in the cloud.
