The Semantic Web provides a way to encode information and knowledge on web pages in a form that is easier for computers to understand and process. For Semantic Web documents to have an impact, they will have to be compatible with Web based indexing and retrieval. There are techniques to retrieve Semantic Web documents using search engines like SWSE, Swoogle and the like. An index based search, involves semantic markup as index term, whereas, a word is an index term in traditional web search tools. The authors aim at combining these two searches with the help of an interface by directing the search to the traditional web search engines and Semantic Web search engines as well and displaying the results in the interface.
