Comprehensive Study of Transmission Techniques for Reducing Packet Loss and Delay in Multimedia Over IP

Quality-of-Service (QoS) is still one of the major challenges in real-time communication over IP networks. That needs one solution mechanism to overcome these problems. In this paper, the authors perform a comprehensive study of the existing transmission technique. They categorize these techniques into three groups; client side technique, active technique and packet scheduling technique. They list out several features and functionalities for research continuity in this area. Some parameter will be selected to make the approach technique more effective for reducing packet loss and delay in MoIP application.
