When one has installed Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 in a server farm environment, one must complete some key administrative tasks to make the full set of services available to users. Many of these services are managed by Shared Services Providers (SSPs), so one of first tasks is to create and configure the primary SSP for server farm. One can then configure other services, such as incoming and outgoing e-mail, support for multiple languages, and portal usage reporting.
