Constellation New Zealand Stars With Enterprise Resource Planning Upgrade
Constellation New Zealand relied heavily on an antiquated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package to manage key processes. However, a review prepared by the Australian and New Zealand information technology team concluded the existing platform was obsolete and needed replacement. As well as these functional problems, the organization faced rising maintenance costs and a dearth of support expertise. The review determined Constellation New Zealand required further tools and processes to deliver profit reporting, expense tracking, balance sheet and asset management, and integrated supply chain management. In 2005, with Constellation New Zealand operating an aging accounting system, its parent organization decided to standardize the business on Oracle's JD Edwards platform.
