Continental Airlines Improves Airport Gate Experience With Presentation Technology
Continental Airlines carries 65 million passengers a year to 265 airports around the world, and it strives to ensure that every one of those customers has the best possible travel experience. In order to improve access to accurate, consistent, real-time flight data for both travelers and Continental gate agents, the airline's in-house development team built a new gate display system using Windows Presentation Foundation. The new system, which is funded by partner advertising, helps agents improve customer service and helps the airline improve its on-time performance. Customers benefit from access to continually updated facts about their flight, including standby and upgrade lists, as well as a streamlined boarding process.
