Cooperative MIMO Precoders for Energy-Efficient Transmission in Wireless Sensor Network
Source: EURASIP
Recent hardware advancements in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) allow more signal processing functionality to be integrated into a single sensor chip. A wide range of applications are envisioned for WSN in various fields including healthcare, military applications, environmental monitoring, industrial control and other fields of public interest. A WSN consists of a large number of low-cost, low-power distributed sensor nodes which are usually battery operated. In many applications, their replacement can be expensive and/or difficult, which makes energy efficiency the most critical issue in system design.
