Cross-Layer Design for Joint PAPR Reduction and Multi-Resolution Resource Assignment
Source: Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers
PAPR is one of the major drawbacks for the widely adopted communication technique, OFDM (orthogonal frequency dividing multiplexing). There are a lot of researches proposed to reduce the PAPR at the cost of either performance degradation or bandwidth inefficiency. In this paper, a cross-layer design for joint PAPR reduction and multi-resolution resource allocation is introduced, which has neither performance degradation nor side information. The variability of multi-resolution data in both envelopes and phases can help the PAPR reduction via resource allocations. And the number of searches of candidate signals with different resource allocations is analyzed.
