Founded in 1997 and owned by the Queensland Government, CS Energy supplies electricity to the national electricity market and the state's north-west minerals province. With business demand for computing resources surging, CS Energy's datacenter facilities - including power, cooling and real estate - started to reach capacity. Also, as server numbers climbed to 60, the organization's IT team had to devote more time to maintenance and management at the expense of projects that could add value to the business. For this they deployed VMware. VMware vSphere 4 builds on VMware Infrastructure 3 to Reduce Management Load, Cut Server Sprawl and Deliver Reliability and Performance for Key SAP ERP System.
