Cummins Turbo Technologies Cuts Time to Develop Production Plans From Five Hours to One Hour

Cummins Turbo Technologies wanted to migrate the Dewas and Pithampur plants to an Oracle-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which is used by other Cummins Turbo Technologies entities worldwide and integrate production and material planning to improve manufacturing efficiency and lower costs. The challenge was to reduce the number of late shipments to customers and fulfill Indian statutory taxation and legal requirements. Cummins Turbo Technologies engaged Oracle Certified Partner KPIT Cummins Infosystems to manage the migration to Oracle E-Business Suite, including process and solution design, super user training, data testing, system testing and deployment, and support following go-live and reduced total cost of ownership by adopting the same ERP system as parent and sister companies.
