One of the greatest challenges backup and data protection managers face is the rapidly increasing level of data to be managed. As these data levels grow, the amount of storage required for backup copies also increases. Several officials FedSources spoke with reported that the sheer volume of data they manage is growing at a rate faster than previously experienced. To cope with this increase, agencies are struggling to develop new backup and recovery strategies.
