D-Law Enables Online Searching of More Than 1 Million Court Records

D-Law provides the legal, corporate, banking, and finance industries with online access to a searchable database of litigation records from the courts of Hong Kong. Previously, D-Law was using Oracle Database and a search engine developed by a third-party provider in India, where it had its data entry operations. However, as data volumes increased, the search engine began suffering performance issues, where it was either slow to respond or crashed altogether in peak times. The company engaged Oracle Customer Services to assist in the implementation of Oracle Database 11g, migrate data from the old to the new database, and develop a new search engine based on Oracle Application Server 10g.
