Source: Oracle
Dana Corporation wanted to unify operations throughout local plants and worldwide branches with a flexible and scalable IT infrastructure and consolidate administrative and supply chain processes to achieve operational efficiency. The challenge was to improve visibility into manufacturing and inventory processes to optimize working capital and increase competitiveness and reduce IT complexity to control maintenance costs. Dana unified the applications infrastructure with a single instance of Oracle E-Business Suite that increased the visibility and synergy among the company's plants, worldwide and standardized administrative-accounting processes with Oracle Financials, shortening times needed to close books by seven days, and for obtaining account balances by three days.
