Integrated Circuits technology advancements have consistently migrated to smaller feature sizes over the last four decades years, forcing more functional circuits to be placed on each chip. The increased density can be used to decrease cost and/or increase functionality as can be seen by Moore's law. Since higher performance and lower power consumption are becoming attainable by not further following the Moore's law, there is an intensive competition among the manufacturers to use finer geometries. The new Gate-Diffusion-Input (GDI) based circuit is the focus of attention in designing digital circuit, less power is required while more efficiency is obtained. GDI-based circuit resembles to CMOS transistors but have fewer transistors with more functionality and higher performance capability.
