Developing JSF Portlets With WebLogic Portal
Source: Oracle
Support for Java Server Faces (JSF) amongst Java vendors has increased dramatically in recent years, and customers are increasingly standardizing on it for new Java web application development. Oracle in particular has embraced JSF. The Oracle ADF technology stack provides the richest environment for enterprise web development in Java. A key component of ADF is ADF Faces, a web framework built on JSF. Oracle strongly encourages customers to use both JSF and ADF Faces, and provides product support for both. Oracle WebLogic Portal (WLP) has supported the use of JSF for the implementation of portlets starting with WLP 9.2, and the support has been enhanced up through the 10.0, 10.2 and 10gR3 releases. Portlets implemented with JSF can leverage all of the powerful features of WLP.
